Adventures of Lapin

Tania Czajka, based in Edinburgh has produced a number of children’s shows which come out of a suitcase and feature a rabbit called Lapin who only speaks French. The other characters are bi-lingual and so young audiences without realising it are introduced to French language and learn a few words on the way. Tania, a native French speaker, has been visiting schools presenting shows with follow-up classes and workshops in accordance with the National Curriculum for Excellence. A number of playlets have also been written and performed especially for ‘L’Heure du Conte’ at l’Institut Francais d Ecosse. Although most of her work is in schools, There is an opportunity for public audiences to see Le Petit Monde’s show ‘Lapin wants to see Santa’ at the North Edinburgh Arts Centre in December see tinyurl link in RH column -->
